So im a big time gamer and my desktop was assembled by myself and cost me a good chunk of cash, but I needed a portable gaming laptop for the weekends and dont have the cash to shell out for one. This thing is a beast, I dont know how it plays the games it does with the specs that are on it but Ive been playing League of Legends, black ops 2, dota2, starcraft, Final Fantasy 14 mmorpg, world of warcraft all on medium settings with 60 fps, this thing stays cool as can be, and the battery life while gaming straight through is three hours which is falsely advertised but highly expected from anyone who knows a thing about computers. If you are looking for something cheap and will play any current game on the market at medium settings this thing is for you, IT IS the cheapest gaming laptop on the market period! It also does all those boring things like surf web and school project junk ^^ without any stuttering, and can run multiple apps at a time with no lag.

This is an amazing machine for the $$. There are others on the market right now for twice the price and more that dont have as much hardware as this thing does, plus its an Asus, an absolute top tier brand. It looks and feels like you could drop it off of a 30 story building and it would just laugh it off. Mind you, it isnt really attractive or lightweight and has a pretty big footprint, but its as solid a machine as you can buy. IF they were charging even $200 more it would be a bargain.

I must start off saying that this is a second laptop of this spec (and third Asus laptop this year) in the household.
These A8-4500 machines perform amazing for what they are used for in the household- laptops that we as university students use for school and personal use. I additionally installed a 8GB RAM stick in place of the 2GB secondary stick and this machine is now one that is hard to overload!
As someone who has bought three Asus laptops in the past year, I can also comment on the quality (two of these quad-code AMD's and one Intel i3). I have seen reviews of bad touchpads and bad screens, but all three of our computers functioned perfectly from the moment they were unwrapped from the box.
